Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Allez Club. We’ve kept them as short and plain as we can – please read them, because they matter.
Who we are
Allez Club is a social app for iOS and Android that helps women find people to train with. You swipe athlete cards, build a circle and plan sessions to run, ride, climb, hike or lift together at public spots. We’re starting in Calgary, Canmore and Banff, Alberta.
Allez Club is operated by Ubunzo Ltd. (“we”, “us”). When these terms say “Allez Club”, they mean the app, the website at allezclub.com and everything we offer through them.
Allez Club is not a dating service. It’s for training partners and friendship. Please don’t use it to look for dates or hook-ups.
Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using Allez Club, you agree to these terms, our community guidelines and any rules shown to you in the app. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your personal information.
If you don’t agree, please don’t use Allez Club. You can delete your account at any time.
Who can join
18 and over only
You must be at least 18 to use Allez Club. We check this twice: when you enter your birthday, and again when you verify your ID. If we learn that someone is under 18, we close the account permanently.
Who the community is for
Allez Club is made for women. Non-binary people are welcome too. We built it this way because many women want a space to find training partners where they feel safe and at ease. We don’t ask anyone to prove their gender, and we expect every member to treat everyone else’s identity with respect.
Real you, one account
- Use your real first name, your real birthday and recent photos of yourself.
- Keep one personal account. Don’t create accounts for someone else, and don’t share yours.
- Don’t use Allez Club if we’ve banned you before, or if the law doesn’t allow you to.
Verification
Before you can match with anyone, create or join a circle, or create or join a session, you need to verify your identity with a photo ID and a selfie. Until then, you can try 5 swipes to see how the deck works; they aren’t saved and can’t lead to a match. A trusted verification partner runs this check. Every account gets one ID check, and it’s free. If the check can’t be completed for a technical reason, you can try again at no cost. If it needs a closer look, a member of our team reviews it and tells you the decision, usually within 1 to 3 business days; we don’t verify accounts whose identity we can’t confirm. If you delete your account and later sign up again with the same email, the new account’s check costs C$7.99, unless you have an active Premium, Premium+ (yearly) or Community subscription; Premium+ Lifetime and the waitlist gift year don’t count as a subscription for this. The birthday on your ID must match the one on your card, and once you’re verified your birthday is locked. We keep the result of the check, not the images of your ID or face – see our privacy policy.
Your account and security
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Apple or Google where available. Keep access to that email and your phone secure – anyone who can get into them may be able to get into your account.
You’re responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us right away at support@allezclub.com.
Please also don’t:
- use bots, scripts or scraping to swipe, message or copy content;
- try to find out another member’s exact location, or get around privacy settings, blocks or limits;
- probe, overload or attack our systems, or copy, reverse-engineer or resell the app;
- use your card, swipes or private messages to sell, advertise or recruit for a business. Clubs, studios and coaches are welcome to run a circle for their own members; see Community organizers.
Your content
Your content is everything you add to Allez Club: your photos and face photo, your athlete card (sports, levels, rhythm, prompts, races and trips), your messages and the photos and videos you send in chats. You own it. You’re responsible for it, and you must have the right to share it.
The licence you give us
So we can run Allez Club, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process (for example, resize, crop, compress or remove location data from) and display your content, and to show it to other members as the app and your settings allow. We use this licence only to operate, secure and improve Allez Club.
We won’t use your photos or card in our advertising without asking you first.
The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for:
- content someone has reported, which we keep for as long as we need to handle the report and keep people safe;
- backups and short-lived cached copies, which disappear on their own over time;
- records we must keep by law.
Content in chats
Photos and videos from someone you haven’t written to yet arrive blurred, with “Tap to view”. We remove location and device data from photos and videos before they’re stored. Long-press any message to report it.
Face-first cards: who sees what
We want sport, level and rhythm to lead – not looks. So before you’re connected with someone, they see your round face photo, first name, age, sports and levels, training rhythm, a prompt and your next event. They don’t see your other photos.
You’re “connected” when you’ve matched, when you’re both hosting or confirmed for the same session, or when you’re in the same circle of up to 8 people. Once connected, you can see each other’s photos and full card. If you unmatch, they’re hidden again.
Bigger circles (above 8, with Community) work differently, because you may not know everyone in them. Members see each other’s first name and face photo in the member list, and each other’s full card and photos only once both are invited to the same session of that circle, or are connected in another way. The circle’s organizers (the organizer and co-hosts) can see their members’ full cards and photos.
A few other things to know:
- Other members only ever see your distance as a range, never your exact location.
- When someone you’re training with uses Share my plan, their trusted contact can see the session’s time and meeting point, plus the first names and cover photos of the people going, until 24 hours after the session ends.
- If you view someone’s card, swipe yes on them or check their stats, they may see that in Premium+ Insights. You can turn this off in Settings with “Appear in other members’ insights”.
Community guidelines
Our community guidelines are part of these terms. In short: be yourself, keep it about training and friendship, respect everyone, meet safely and protect each other’s privacy. If you break them, we may act on your account, as described below.
Meeting people in real life
Training together is the point of Allez Club, and we’ve built tools to help you do it safely: meeting points must be public places, the exact spot is shown only once you’re confirmed, and every session has Share my plan, a check-in afterwards, and report and block buttons.
Still, please keep in mind:
- You decide. You’re responsible for your own choices about who you talk to, meet and train with. Take your time, and leave if something feels off.
- Verification has limits. Verification confirms that a person’s ID matched their selfie and age when they checked. We don’t run criminal background checks, and a verified badge isn’t an endorsement or a guarantee of how anyone will behave.
- We don’t run the sessions. Sessions are planned by members, not by us. We don’t supervise them, check routes, conditions or gear, or vouch for anyone’s skill or fitness.
- Sport carries risk. Running, riding, climbing, skiing, paddling and every other sport can lead to injury. Mountain sports carry extra risks from weather, terrain and avalanches. Train within your limits, check conditions and bring the right gear. By taking part, you accept those risks.
- We’re not an emergency service. If you’re in danger, call 911 first.
We are responsible for running Allez Club with reasonable care. Nothing here limits any responsibility we have by law that can’t be limited.
Plans and purchases
Allez Club is free to use. Premium, Premium+ and Community are optional plans that add more control, organizing tools and insights. Premium comes monthly or yearly, Premium+ yearly, and Community monthly or yearly. There are no weekly plans. From time to time, Premium+ is also sold for life in a limited “drop” (see Premium+ Lifetime below).
| Plan | What it adds |
|---|---|
| Free | Your athlete card, unlimited swiping, matching once you’re verified, messages and reactions, an adjustable distance radius, joining circles and sessions you’re invited to (once verified), your first ID check, and every safety tool |
| Premium | Deck filters (sport, level, training load, schedule, verified-only, age), starting circles of up to 8 and planning sessions, and undoing up to 30 passes a month |
| Premium+ | Everything in Premium, plus Insights (who viewed you, wanted to train with you or checked your stats), unlimited undo and priority for your yes-swipes and invites |
| Community | Everything in Premium+, plus circles of up to 199 people for your run club or crew, up to 10 co-hosts, subgroups, inviting a subgroup or hand-picked people to a session, joining with a QR code, and choosing who can post in the circle chat. Premium+ Lifetime members can get it at a lower price. |
Safety is never paywalled. Your account’s ID check, reporting, blocking, Share my plan and check-ins are free on every plan. Paid plans add control, organizing tools and insights. They never change a safety rule, and they never show your full card or photos to anyone outside your matches, your sessions and the circles you joined.
Buying, renewing and cancelling
- You buy plans through the Apple App Store or Google Play. They take the payment, so their terms apply to the purchase as well as ours.
- Current plans and prices are shown in the app before you buy, including any taxes the store adds.
- Subscriptions (Premium, Premium+ and Community) renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You’re charged by the store when they renew. Premium+ Lifetime is a one-time purchase and never renews.
- To cancel, go to your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the app or your account doesn’t cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. We can’t issue refunds for store purchases ourselves.
- If we change a price, you’ll be told before it applies to you, as the store requires.
- Purchases belong to your Allez Club account, the one (and its email address) you were signed in to when you bought them. Restore purchases works only when you’re signed in to that same account, for example on a new phone. It can’t move a purchase to a different Allez Club account.
Matching, creating circles and planning sessions also need a verified ID. After you subscribe, we’ll ask you to verify. Filters, undo and Insights work right away.
Premium+ Lifetime
Now and then we open a limited drop: for a few days, you can buy Premium+ once and keep it for life. Here’s what that means:
- “Lifetime” means for as long as Allez Club runs and the account that bought it exists.
- You pay once. It’s a one-time purchase and never renews.
- It belongs to the account that bought it. It can’t be transferred, sold or moved to another account.
- It ends if that account is deleted or permanently banned, or if the store refunds the purchase.
- Each drop has its own price, so the price can be different from one drop to the next.
- Premium+ can change over time. Features may be added, changed or removed, for Lifetime members and subscribers alike.
- Community costs less for you. Lifetime members can add Community at a lower price, shown in the app.
Community organizers
With Community, you can run a circle of up to 199 people. You’re its organizer, and you can name up to 10 co-hosts to help you plan. Together, you’re the circle’s organizers. Organizers are members like everyone else: these terms and our guidelines for organizers apply to them, and they don’t act for us.
- Your QR code is your responsibility. Anyone signed in to Allez Club who has the code can see your circle’s preview, and any verified member can join straight away. Share it only where you mean to.
- The organizer holds the keys. Only the organizer invites people into the circle, makes a new code or turns the code on or off. Co-hosts can show the QR code, for example at a session.
- Removing someone is final for the code. A member who was removed can’t come back with the code. Only a new invite from the organizer brings her back.
- Members’ cards are for running the circle. Organizers can see their members’ full cards and photos and keep private subgroups. Use them only to organize the circle.
- If your Community plan ends: a circle of 8 or fewer becomes a regular circle, and everyone can post in the chat. A circle above 8 is paused as it is: everyone stays and the chat and planned sessions keep working, but nobody new can join and no new sessions can be planned until you renew Community or bring the circle down to 8.
Clubs, studios and coaches
Businesses are welcome as organizers. A run club, studio, gym or paid coach can run a Community circle for the people who train with them. If you do:
- You run your business, not us. Any fees, classes, bookings, waivers, insurance and permits are between you and your members, outside Allez Club. We don’t take part in them and aren’t responsible for them.
- Be upfront. If a session costs money, say so and say how much before anyone comes.
- Talk business inside your circle only. Your sessions, classes and prices belong in your circle. Don’t use cards, swipes or private messages to sell to people who haven’t joined, and don’t ask members for payment details in Allez Club.
- Everything else stays the same. Your members get every safety tool, these terms and our guidelines apply to you, and we can act on your account like anyone else’s.
Health and training data
Connecting Apple Health or Health Connect is optional. If you do, we read only the workouts a feature needs – type, date, duration and distance – never routes, heart rate or location. Your phone works out a summary, and only the summary you approve is added to your card. You can hide any stat or disconnect at any time, which removes the shared summary.
Training stats and the “Verified active” badge are there to help you find people who train like you. They aren’t medical advice. Talk to a health professional before starting something new.
Moderation and enforcement
We review reports and may look at reported content to keep Allez Club safe. If you break these terms or our guidelines, or put someone at risk, we may:
- give you a warning;
- remove content or photos;
- record a confirmed no-show on your reliability record;
- suspend your account for a period of time;
- ban you permanently.
A permanent ban always needs two people on our team to agree. While a ban is being decided, your account may be suspended. Accounts of people under 18 are closed automatically. We may also act on behaviour outside the app when it affects members’ safety.
If you’re banned, don’t create a new account. We keep a protected, scrambled copy of a banned account’s email address so it can’t be used to sign up again.
Your plan if we act on your account
- Suspended: your plan stays on your account, but you can’t use Allez Club while the suspension lasts.
- Banned permanently: your plans end, including Premium+ Lifetime and the waitlist gift.
- Subscriptions keep billing until you cancel them. Apple and Google run the billing, so cancel in your store settings. Refunds are up to the store, under its rules.
If you think we got it wrong, write to support@allezclub.com and we’ll take another look.
Leaving, or being removed
You can leave any time
Delete your account in the app under Settings, or see how to delete your account. Your card is hidden straight away. You then have 30 days to change your mind; after that, your account and content are removed for good, apart from the limited safety records described in our privacy policy. If you’re the subject of an open safety report, removal waits until it’s resolved. Remember to cancel any subscription in your store settings too.
When your account is removed, circles you organize close for everyone in them, and you leave your other circles. A Premium+ Lifetime purchase and the waitlist gift end with your account and can’t be moved to another one.
We can end things too
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we have to by law, or to protect members or Allez Club. We may also change or stop parts of the service. If we ever shut Allez Club down, we’ll give you reasonable notice where we can, and we’ll stop selling plans once we’ve announced it. Subscriptions, Premium+ Lifetime and the waitlist gift end when the service ends. Cancel any subscription in your store settings so it doesn’t renew.
Sections that by their nature should survive – such as content licences for safety records, disclaimers, limits of liability and governing law – keep applying after your account ends.
Waitlist and emails
If you join the waitlist on allezclub.com, we’ll use your email to tell you when Allez Club opens near you and to share launch news. If you later join the app with the same email and verify your ID, we also use it to give you the waitlist gift. You can unsubscribe any time with the link in every email or by writing to us; that deletes your waitlist entry, and with it any gift you haven’t received yet.
If you have an account, we also send service messages – such as sign-in codes, safety notices and changes to these terms. These aren’t marketing, so you can’t unsubscribe from them while your account is open.
The waitlist gift
To thank the people who join us first, the first 1,000 people in each city on the waitlist get their first year of Premium free. Here are the terms of the offer:
- Who gets it: the first 1,000 people in each city on our waitlist, counted in the order they confirmed their email. The city is the one you chose when you signed up. Every city on the waitlist has its own 1,000, including cities we add later. Unconfirmed sign-ups don’t count.
- How to claim it: create an Allez Club account with the same email address you used on the waitlist and verify your ID. There’s no code to enter: the gift is added to your account automatically.
- Spots that free up: if someone in the first 1,000 unsubscribes or their entry is deleted before they receive the gift, their spot passes to the next person in line for that city. A gift that has been given counts toward its city’s 1,000.
- When it starts: the moment your ID check goes through or, if your place in line comes up later, when it does. It lasts one year.
- Already subscribed? If you’re already paying for a plan when you receive the gift, your gift year starts when the period you paid for ends. Turn off auto-renew in your App Store or Google Play settings so you aren’t charged while the gift runs.
- Join the waitlist first. Only a waitlist sign-up confirmed before you created your Allez Club account counts. A sign-up confirmed after that doesn’t get the gift and doesn’t take a place in line: the place passes to the next person.
- Premium+ Lifetime members already have more than the gift, so it isn’t given to them, and their place passes to the next person in line.
- One per person. The gift is given once per person and once per waitlist email, even with a new account.
- It’s yours only. It can’t be transferred, sold or exchanged for money or another plan.
- No surprise charges. It never turns into a paid plan. When the year ends, the gift simply stops, and you’re only charged if you choose to subscribe.
- It ends early if you delete your account or are banned.
- Different email? If your account uses another email address, including Sign in with Apple’s private relay address, write to support@allezclub.com from the email you used on the waitlist and we’ll add the gift by hand.
- Keep your entry until then. Unsubscribing from waitlist emails deletes your entry, and with it your place in line and any gift you haven’t received yet. Entries are also deleted 24 months after sign-up, so verify within that time.
- Once you have it, it’s yours. When you receive the gift, your waitlist entry is deleted (its job is done), so you won’t get waitlist emails after that. Unsubscribing or the 24-month limit no longer affect a gift you’ve received.
We may change or end this offer for people who join the waitlist after we announce the change. A gift that has started keeps running until its year is up.
Third-party services
Allez Club works with other companies’ services – for example Apple and Google for app stores, sign-in and maps, our ID verification partner, and Apple Health or Health Connect. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. We aren’t responsible for services we don’t control. Our privacy policy lists who we share information with and why.
Apple and Google
These terms are between you and Ubunzo Ltd., not Apple or Google. They aren’t responsible for Allez Club, its content, support or any claims about it. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary, and your use must also follow the App Store’s usage rules.
Our app and brand
The Allez Club name, the race-bib logo, the app, its design and our text belong to Ubunzo Ltd.. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose while you follow these terms. Please don’t use our brand without written permission.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
We work hard to keep Allez Club safe, useful and running smoothly, but we can’t promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that you’ll find the training partners you’re looking for. To the extent permitted by law, Allez Club is provided “as is” and “as available”.
We aren’t responsible for what members say or do, on or off the app. To the extent permitted by law:
- we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, data or opportunities;
- our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Allez Club subscriptions in the 12 months before the claim and C$100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law – for example for fraud, gross negligence, or death or injury caused by our negligence – or takes away rights you have under consumer protection law.
Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent permitted by law. This doesn’t apply where we caused the problem.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If something goes wrong, please contact us first – most problems can be sorted out quickly. If we can’t resolve it, the courts of Calgary, Alberta will handle the dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to court there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Allez Club grows. If a change is important, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using Allez Club after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
